UPON COMPLETION OF NEEDED REPAIRS, THE BARGE WILL BE OPERATED ON A LAKE WITH NPS PERSONNEL ABOARD TO ENSURE THE POWER TRAIN OPERATES WITHOUT VIBRATION UNDER FULL POWER RANGE. AFTER ACCEPTANCE THE CONTRACTOR WILL WINTERIZE, IF WEATHER REQUIRES WINTERIZATION, AND TRANSPORT THE BARGE BACK TO GLACIER NATIONAL PARK. ENGINES: STARBOARD ENGINE HAS A DAMAGED ENGINE CRANKSHAFT. THE FRONT DRIVE PULLEY CAME LOOSE AND DAMAGED ITSELF AND THE TAPERED NOSE OF THE CRANKSHAFT. A MAKESHIFT REPAIR WAS DONE IN 2014. THE PERMANENT REPAIR REQUIRES THE REPLACEMENT OF THE CRANKSHAFT, PULLEY AND OTHER PARTS, AS NEEDED. THE PORT ENGINE EITHER LACKS POWER, OR THE DRIVE UNIT IS CAUSING LAGGING PERFORMANCE.
