CESSNA AIRCRAFT COMPANY LED THE VEHICLE CONFIGURATION DEVELOPMENT IN A NASA, PHASE I, N+3 RESEARCH PROJECT. AIRCRAFT AND PROPULSION TECHNOLOGIES THAT ENABLE EFFICIENT AND ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY TRANSPORTATION AIRCRAFT FOR THE 2030 TO 2035 TIME PERIOD WERE EXPLORED THROUGHOUT THIS PREVIOUS EFFORT. A TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM SCENARIO AND AN ADVANCED AIRCRAFT THAT SATISFIES ALL OF THE NASA RESEARCH OBJECTIVES FOR N+3 AIRCRAFT WAS DEVELOPED AND PRESENTED IN THE PHASE 1 CONTRACT REPORT (REF. 1). ADDITIONAL TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM CAPACITY IS PROVIDED WITH POINT-TO-POINT TRIPS THAT AVOID CONGESTED HUB AIRPORTS AND REDUCE THE DOOR-TO-DOOR TRAVEL TIME BY APPROXIMATELY 50%. THIS BREAKTHROUGH CAPABILITY IS PROVIDED WITH SMALL AIRLINERS (20-60 PASSENGERS) THAT BENEFIT FROM A 25-33% REDUCTION IN FUEL BURN, EMPTY WEIGHT, AND AERODYNAMIC DRAG RELATIVE TO CURRENT TECHNOLOGY AIRCRAFT. THESE BENEFITS ARE THE RESULTS OF ADVANCED TURBOPROP ENGINES, AN ADVANCED COMPOSITE AIRFRAME, AND A VEHICLE SHAPE THAT PROMOTES NATURAL LAMINAR FLOW.

About this data

This profile aggregates federal enforcement records on CESSNA AIRCRAFT COMPANY from every major federal compliance and enforcement source plus the UVA Corporate Prosecution Registry. OSHA workplace safety inspections, WHD wage cases, MSHA mine safety, EPA environmental enforcement, NLRB labor relations, OFLC visa/labor certification, FMCSA motor carrier registration, SAM.gov debarments, CMS nursing-home records, BLS industry safety benchmarks, OSHA ITA self-reported injury rates, SEC enforcement and financial disclosures, CPSC and NHTSA recalls.

Establishments are matched across agencies using normalized employer name, state, and ZIP code.

OSHA citations typically appear 3–8 months after the inspection, so very recent enforcement actions may not yet be reflected.
